Twitter Releases Redesigned iOS App With Flat iOS 7 Appearance
On Wednesday, following the official iOS 7 release
to the public, Twitter launched an update to their popular social networking application for iOS bringing the application up to version 5.1.1.
The update includes the redesigned interface for iOS 7 that Apple showed a sneak peek of at the keynote
where Apple unveiled two new iPhones, the iPhone 5S
and the iPhone 5C
, on September 10th.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the Twitter interface now uses much flatter elements for the header image, the buttons, and more. The iOS 7-ification includes adding transparency, more vibrant colors, and support for the new keyboard to the application. The application icon is also now much flatter, giving it that native iOS 7 look:
But looks arenít everything. Twitter has been improved under the hood with compatibility with the new operating system. Twitter notes that the application is still compatible with both iOS 5 and iOS 6 as well.
Existing users will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the Twitter application for iOS for free from this App Store link
