Apple's iPhone 5C Pre-Orders Begin - Did You Pre-Order?
Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5C in 10 countries around the world roughly one hour ago. The countries include the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK. The pre-orders are available directly from Apple in most countries via the Apple Online Store and the iOS app (which has historically been more resilient to traffic surges than the online store).
Consumers are also able to pre-order the iPhone 5C from the carriers which consist of AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile as well as third-party resellers which include Walmart, Best Buy, Radio Shack and Target. It should be noted that the third-party resellers all require customers to be in-store. Best Buy has a caveat requiring consumers to purchase a $50 gift card to pre-order (which can be used towards the cost of the phone) and Walmart is offering the iPhone 5C for a discounted price of $79.
