Spotify iOS App Updated With Improvements to Music Browsing
The highly popular Spotify music streaming application for iOS has been updated on Tuesday, bringing the application up to version 0.7.4. The update comes on the same day that Spotify unveiled their plans for Spotify Connect
, an AirPlay-like feature intended especially for Spotify users that will let them stream their music to wireless speakers.
The update to the Spotify application is majorly focused on discovering new music. Now when accessing the application’s sidebar, the ‘used-to-be’ Search feature is now called Search & Browse. If by any chance you aren’t sure what you want to look for, Spotify will now let you browse among different music styles so you can potentially learn about new artists that match your tastes.
These different music styles are displayed as tiles, and include categories like pop, rock, club, workout, and more.
The update also adds language support for Thai, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, Malay, and Greek, upon also adding a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
Existing users of the Spotify application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the Spotify application for free from this App Store link
