  • iOS 7 Beta 6 Seeded to Developers

Apple Thursday evening seeded iOS 7 Beta 6 to developers for testing. The latest version is available over the air (OTA) on all iOS 7-supported iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads that are running the iOS 7 beta firmware, and can also be downloaded from Apple’s Developer Center.

iOS 7 Beta 6 was expected to be seeded to developers some time next week, so Thursday evening's release comes off as a bit of a surprise. Not only was the update released at an abnormal time, but also it hasn’t even been two weeks since the seed of iOS 7 Beta 5.

From what it looks like the update is very minor, probably just a number of tiny bug fixes, as it only comes up as a 13.5MB download on an iPhone 5. The download size varies depending on the device, and the amount of time it takes to download will vary depending on your Internet connection. You do need to be connected to Wi-Fi to download an update OTA.

We will keep you updated on any new features that we find.

If the Airplane mode doesn't work, take out your sim card and reinsert it. That worked for me.

edit - oopsies, didn't see you already posted. However I still had to restart in order for it to see the update. All's well.

Couldn't see comments before for some reason.

This update is only a hotfix for an issue with iTunes in the cloud.
This update addresses an issue with iTunes in the Cloud, where some purchases may download or play unexpected items. If you have any devices running previous versions of iOS 7 beta, you must:
      1. Install iOS 7 beta 6
      2. Install the ResetMusicAndVideosLibraries configuration profile
      3. From Settings > Music, tap the Reset Media Library button
      4. Restart the device

Resetting media library clears ALL music from your device. I just learned this the hard way.
