Familiar iPhone 5S Clues Surface in New Report
With less than a month to go before the iPhone 5S is expected to be unveiled, a new report is adding another layer of certainty to a recent wave of rumors regarding the next-gen flagship smartphone from Apple.
Prominent and knowledgeable KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has come out to assert on record with investors that the iPhone 5S will, as speculated, feature 128GB of on-board flash memory.
Additionally, while not a hardware improvement to a meaningful extent, we're told that the color options on the new device will be broad and varied, with gold being among the color options coming next month.
Apparently, Kuo's supply channel checks and manufacturing sources have also brought him to the conclusion that the iPhone 5S will deliver a brand spankin' new A7 system-on-chip design (w/ 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM). And, yes, the fingerprint sensor in the home button is there too.
Along with the usual camera improvements and related tweaks, it doesn't appear that the rumor mill is leaving much to our imagination as we anticipate the iPhone 5S. By all accounts, we have an excellent idea of what's coming. The biggest mystery of all remains the iPhone 5C. We know it's in the works. The only question is whether September 10th will bring its launch as well.
