  • iOS 7 Gold Master to Drop As Early As September 10th, Beta 6 Next Week for Developers

iOS 7 is currently on beta 5 for developer testing as developers continue testing their applications for the upcoming public release this Fall. Those on the beta won't have to wait too long for another update, and another update after that.

According to a report from BGR, iOS 7 beta 6 is set to seed to developers some time next week (perhaps Monday), while iOS 7 Gold Master will reach Apple employees and carriers for testing on September 5th and will reach developers by September 10th. The Gold Master is the version of the software that most resembles the final release for all users give or take a few minor bugs that may be fixed before the full release.

Apple often launches updates to carriers and staff before developers just to make sure that the software functions properly with all the carriers’ services. Developers then get the seed shortly afterwards to test their apps, and then it lands in the public’s hands when bugs have been squashed and applications have had time to be updated.

On September 10th, Apple is also expected to unveil two new iPhone models alongside the iOS 7 Gold Master, including the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C.

I have flasharmyknife so I can tether via ahoc network with a laptop but can't use it for my iPad.

I can't believe apple made this kid looking IOS. IS this phone aimed more towards kids? I don't need rainbow colors on my phone. JB for IOS 7 couldn't come soon enough. Nothing exciting on IOS 7 compared to a JB IOS 6. The iPhone 5s what's so exciting about that? A simple option of putting the date in top menu with time isn't even an option. U need JB tweaks for the simplest things. Wish iphone 6 was coming out.

I love iOS7 UI on my iPhone5 and every features that it has to offer and I'm not even trippin' about jailbreaking it, but, if there is a jailbreak for it I will definitely will looking forward to doing so until then can't wait for the beta 6 ..... The only thing I would do it is because I want to be able to use my MacBook Pro at work using connection from my iPhone5 data and I do miss all those good tweaks on Cydia hahaha.....

iTether via the appstore. (Pulled now) I've had it saved in my iTunes library for over a year. It is on my i5. Only thing that sucks is I cannot create a hotspot.

Am I the only one whose favorite jailbreak tweak is ActionMenu? After all, who wants to type in their passwords and other frequently used data when they can have a clipboard accessible from anywhere in the OS? After that, free tethering is my second most valuable JB feature.

Yea I have flasharmyknife, does the same thing using an ad hoc and proxies. I need the hotspot to tether my iPad though.

I think your private messages got disabled, lol. It is against forum rules to request or post that information as it is considered warez.

Suppose to fix an "iTunes/iCloud issue, where some purchases may download or play unexpected items."

Safari is a bit quicker..other than that I can't see any real difference visually between beta 6 and 5.

One should not just accept or embrace change just for the sake of it. One should not accept change blindly. iOS 7 does appear to have some improvements, yes indeed, but the visual side needs a lot of work, and simply because one dislikes something does not make one against or afraid of change, and labeling people as such is nothing more than a tool used as an attempt to push people towards a particular side or direction. It's not unlike what school children sometimes use: the old "if you don't do this, you're not my friend" routine.

It can be beneficial to actually look at other point of views and maybe understand why so many don't like this new design style instead of seeing such people as either an enemy or as a misguided soul that must be saved. Thank you.
