Bing iOS App Updated With Landscape Support for iOS 6 and Improved Location Queries
Microsoft has issued an update to its popular Bing search application for iOS Friday afternoon bringing the application up to version 4.0.3.
Microsoft has claimed that they have been listening to user feedback and have taken much of it into consideration. In Friday’s update, Microsoft added two new features that have been requested via feedback.
The first major feature is the addition of landscape mode support for iOS 6.0 and later. Landscape mode gives users a better way to look at content on their display when searching the Internet, so it was no wonder that this feature was highly requested.
The other major feature that Microsoft says they’ve packed into this update is improved location support for location-based queries, which was necessary because the application wasn’t always accurate with locations.
Existing users of the application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Bing for iOS via this App Store link
