It's the feel-good story of the day in iOS-land. Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Brandon Carr is offering his thanks to Apple's FaceTime, as it enabled he NFL player to witness the birth of his first son.
"I saw everything I needed to see," Carr tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I saw it all. Technology is wonderful these days. Sometimes you can't control what's going to happen. You've just got to go with the flow. I made the most of it."
It was a good feeling to be there and actually see your first son. Iím still trying to gather my thoughts and bring it all in. The last two days have been good. Itís a blessed feeling.
This story, which involves one of the NFL's most promising and highest paid talents, comes on the heels of another (kind of sappy) Apple ad that demonstrates how the flagship smartphone connects separated friends and family during the times that matter most.
I need a tissue.
