With a new jailbreak tweak dubbed FaceHalt by iOS developer Apocolipse, you can give your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad the ability to pause video playback whenever you look away from your iOS device. This tweak is perfect for when you get interrupted or distracted in the middle of a video and want to make sure you donít miss any of it.
The tweak harnesses the power of your front-facing camera to detect when your face is facing the direction of the screen. If your face cannot be detected, the video will pause. This feature will work in most video-playing applications. You can see the tweak in action via the demo video below:

FaceHalt can be enabled or disabled on demand from the preferences pane in the Settings application.
The tweak is inspired from the Smart Pause feature of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, and is an interesting an innovative way of ensuring that you never miss a beat from the videos you watch. Luckily, this jailbreak tweak will bring this feature to the iOS device lineup, so that Apple device users don't have to miss out.
