Apple Store App Begins Offering Users Paid App Store Content for Free
After a report last month
that the Apple Store would start offering users of the app paid App Store, iTunes Store, and iBooks Store content for free after an update, it was unknown why after the update to the application came and went the free content never appeared in the application.
Friday, the Apple Store application has finally started showing users paid App Store content that can be downloaded for free. It appears that the feature could be turned on or off from Apple’s end. The update that enabled this feature that will hopefully attract more attention to Apple's device lineup went live in the App Store July 24th.
The content that the Apple Store app is showing right now is a puzzle game called Color Zen
. The game is usually 99˘ in the App Store, but by opening the Apple Store application and following the download link, you can grab the game for free. The Color Zen promotional download will last until August 27th.
The Apple Store application reminds users to check back frequently, as the application will offer promotional downloads from the App Store, iTunes Store, and iBooks Store. If you want to download the Apple Store application (free) and start joining in on the free downloads, you can grab the latest version of the Apple Store application from this App Store link
