  • Apple Releases iOS 4.3.2

Apple has just released yet another iOS update. This time, as expected, we have 4.3.2, which gives us minor bug fixes and security patches for the iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch. For now, the update doesn't apply to the Verizon iPhone 4 (CDMA).

    According to Apple, the update:

    - Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call
    - Fixes an issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad Wi-Fi + 3G
    - Contains the latest security updates

Immediately following the release, MuscleNerd tweeted the following: "ultrasn0w unlockers stay away from today's iOS 4.3.2! Everyone else, make sure you have your 4.3.1 SHSH blobs saved." He followed with: "Apple sure is aggressively patching these untethered jailbreaks lately (but that's still better than lawsuits)."

The last incremental update for iOS was rolled out just a few short weeks ago, tackling cellular network issues as well as graphics glitches associated with the fourth-generation iPod touch. Within hours of iOS 4.3.1 dropping, speculation mounted about another looming release - the one we received today.

    Update: Verizon iPhone 4.2.7 released

I was kinda thinking they were releasing these quick updates to block jailbreaking on new phones coming out of the store, but why are they not releasing a new firmware every week for the Verizon phone, to patch it's "security holes"? It IS currently jailbreakable right?(I don't know, not on Verizon)

Just restored 4.3.1 so it looks like they're still signing the firmware.

      According to Apple, the update:

      - Fixes an issue that let you jailbreak
      - Contains the latest security updates which closes the holes that lets you jailbreak

Either apple is just trying to keep there support forum down in complaints or just trying to stop the jailbreaking with all these updats
      Probably both

I actually have experienced the frozen FaceTime bug when switching to springboard and then back to FaceTime during a call, so I think this is good, if we can find a jailbreak for it

I updated to 4.3.1 last night using a custom sn0wbreeze IPSW. I wanted the new air play features so I can use them with my Apple TV I bought a few weeks ago.

I just told my sister in law, who's iPad I jail broke on 3.2.2 centuries ago, she needed to upgrade last night b4 they patch this 4.3.1. Damn. I could've walked her through green poison over the phone but trying to update to custom firmware, damn near impossible.

People don't really do that lol. It's when you get a knew phone that screws them up. I think 99.999% of us know updating breaks the jailbreak!
