  • Apple Releases iOS 4.3.2

Apple has just released yet another iOS update. This time, as expected, we have 4.3.2, which gives us minor bug fixes and security patches for the iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch. For now, the update doesn't apply to the Verizon iPhone 4 (CDMA).

    According to Apple, the update:

    - Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call
    - Fixes an issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad Wi-Fi + 3G
    - Contains the latest security updates

Immediately following the release, MuscleNerd tweeted the following: "ultrasn0w unlockers stay away from today's iOS 4.3.2! Everyone else, make sure you have your 4.3.1 SHSH blobs saved." He followed with: "Apple sure is aggressively patching these untethered jailbreaks lately (but that's still better than lawsuits)."

The last incremental update for iOS was rolled out just a few short weeks ago, tackling cellular network issues as well as graphics glitches associated with the fourth-generation iPod touch. Within hours of iOS 4.3.1 dropping, speculation mounted about another looming release - the one we received today.

    Update: Verizon iPhone 4.2.7 released

Doesn't look like it, I plugged my phone in about 30 minutes ago, prompted me to update to 4.3.1 and then I got a call, plugged it back, and prompted me to update to 4.3.2 as of about 5 minutes ago....I was finally looking to get off of 4.0.

I had the 4.3 shsh so I at least got there, would like to have done 4.3.1, but hopefully 4.3.2 will be along soon, I'm patient.

Thanks, still a noob, but I'm trying to learn!

Not only is that source not secure (and not allowed here) but it's confusing as intestates 2 different things in the instructions so I removed until a valid source confirmes

No prob, that's why MMI is here! 3GS firmwares/IPSWs will always start with: iphone2,1_NEW FIRMWARE #......IPSW
      iPhone 4 is : iphone3,1_NEW FIRMWARE #......IPSW

I haven't had more than a bar of service since I upgraded to 4.3.1

      Hopefully this 4.3.2 fixes this.

This was probably the cosmetic glitch pwnagetool had. You have full strength but only ever show 1 bar. I redid my phone and it was fine. So just a wierd glitch.

      Including Verizon's update of 4.2.7
I take it this would also kill the Jailbreak on a Verizon iPhone 4, no? If so, I'll wait on updating.

Yes it removes the jailbreak. We post direct downloads from Apple's servers. These are mainly used for when people need to create custom firmwares.

Or to keep for safe keeping.

When I jailbroke my ip4 on 4.3.1 using the pwnage tool I also got one bar and sometimes it displayed no service. I re jailbroke with redsnow and no problem since.

I've heard that in 4.3.1 and in 4.3.2 should Airplay not working. Why? I have 4.3.1 and it's true, I don't have it anymore.

On 4.2.1 was it still working great, but now not

So, when I open Cydia it states "This device is in the pending TSS queue". My question is how long does it take to show up in Cydia that my blobs were saved? When I JB my 2G, 3GS, and iPad (especially the 3GS) Cydia was offering the "Make life easier" option and if memory serves me correctly, it did not take that long to display.

Also, how do I know if and where my blobs are saved on my computer? Last question, is it possible for me to save the blobs either on Cydia or my computer now that 4.3.2 is out?
When you use umbrella they are already saved in your computer somewhere. When Cydia says it is processing it; it means it is already there; just not yet ready for use from Cydia. I got the blobs for 4.3.1 the day it came out and they are still not showing in Cydia, but as long as they're on your computer you're fine.

You know anyone who's phone got locked after updating? So far I've tracked two cases, one being mine. Still waiting to see if this is just bad luck or if it is actually a problem happening.

I upgraded to 4.3.1 and Jailbroke. My battery life was disastrous. I tried every fix I could find and none worked. Looking forward to trying again on 4.3.2.

I'm good on 4.3.1. There's an untethered jailbreak so I'm happy.
