  • Apple Releases iOS 4.3.2

Apple has just released yet another iOS update. This time, as expected, we have 4.3.2, which gives us minor bug fixes and security patches for the iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch. For now, the update doesn't apply to the Verizon iPhone 4 (CDMA).

    According to Apple, the update:

    - Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call
    - Fixes an issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad Wi-Fi + 3G
    - Contains the latest security updates

Immediately following the release, MuscleNerd tweeted the following: "ultrasn0w unlockers stay away from today's iOS 4.3.2! Everyone else, make sure you have your 4.3.1 SHSH blobs saved." He followed with: "Apple sure is aggressively patching these untethered jailbreaks lately (but that's still better than lawsuits)."

The last incremental update for iOS was rolled out just a few short weeks ago, tackling cellular network issues as well as graphics glitches associated with the fourth-generation iPod touch. Within hours of iOS 4.3.1 dropping, speculation mounted about another looming release - the one we received today.

    Update: Verizon iPhone 4.2.7 released

I researched after you told me and found that out and have downloaded the appropriate IPSW thanks. Hopefully I'll have no trouble with redsn0w tomorrow.

Close tiny umbrella and try restoring from dfu again. Make sure tiny umbrella does not have the box that says set hosts to cydia on exit checked before closing it.

You aren't trying to restore to a custom firmware are you?
This is on a factory unlocked iPhone right?

Try getting iTunes to download the firmware for you instead of choosing the one you already have downloaded.

Just press restore in iTunes instead of shift/alt restore.

Aah, in that case then you should use a custom fimrware made with pwnage tool or snowbreeze.

Restore to a 4.3.1 custom firmware. You have 4.3.1 SHSH right? There is no way to go to 4.3.2 and preserve your baseband successfully yet (at least no official way).

Did you buy it factory unlocked or did you pay for one of the new remote IMEI unlocks?

Aah ok, you should be good now. I was going to suggest using SAM to backup your unlock just in case but it doesnt sound like you need to do that.
