Yelp Update Enables Ordering Food From the App, Rolling Out to Everyone Soon
The popular Yelp application for iOS has been updated Tuesday to version 3.9.1. Yelp is a popular way for users to find out information about local businesses, restaurants, and more. The application also includes features for social networking, including reviews, check-ins, etc.
The update to the application Tuesday has enabled a feature that will allow users to order food right from the application from local restaurants. The feature, while enabled, still needs to be rolled out to everyone first, so it will not yet be accessible by everyone at this point in time. Yelp notes the feature will be rolled out to more locations in coming weeks.
Yelp notes that when the feature is available for you, you will notice a button under restaurants that you search for labeled, “Order Pickup or Delivery.” The feature will let you order food and then you will be able to pick it up yourself or have it delivered to you depending on the restaurant.
The update is free for existing users and it can be found under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, users can download the latest version of Yelp absolutely free from the App Store via this App Store link
