  • Pandora for iOS Updated With Playback Improvements, Auto Pause, More Improvements

The free and highly popular Pandora Radio application for iOS has received an update Monday that gives users even more useful features. The update brings the music-streaming application to version 4.4.

In the update, users will find that upon leaving their phone muted for a while, Pandora will automatically pause the song for you so that when you un-mute your phone, your song will resume where you left off. This is a great feature for listening to music, as when distractions from the outside world grab your attention, you will be able to mute your music momentarily to see what's going on and then get right back to it again without missing a beat.

In addition, the update improves playback for users with spotty Internet connections. The improvements should help make buffering more efficient in order to keep music from shuttering in the middle of that great guitar solo that you want to hear. The update also gives the application more support for links and improves the overall stability of the application with bug fixes.

Existing users of Pandora Radio for iOS will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, the latest version of Pandora Radio for iOS can be downloaded for free from the App Store via this App Store link.

Yea. Bought a new 5. Coming from a 4s and had my fingers crossed. That it would be on 6.1.2 or earlier but no dice.

Unlimited skip works from within pandora Downloader.

A refurb would've done the trick.

What about Pandora One with pandora downloder?

I don't want to lose that one. The main reason for jailbreaking.

Yeah...I'm confused. You can't "mute" the music. You can only pause it.

Nice upgrade! Definitely an improvement from the older version. I'd highly recommend this to EVERYONE.

Get Pandora Downloader - it'll give you as many skips as you need without having to worry about the limitations.

Always love an update to pandora... However, I'm always a lil hesitant to update until I know it plays nice with pandora downloader... This recent update has worked with each and every feature pandora downloader has to offer... Ahhhhhhhhh yeeeeeeaaaahhhh... 🌴☀😎

Obviously you "mute" it by turning the volume all the way down. To save bandwidth and royalty costs, doing so now pauses playback.

Why on earth would it do that?
