  • iOS 7 Beta 3 Now Available for Developer Testing

Apple has Monday afternoon seeded iOS 7 Beta 3 to developers for preview testing ahead of the Fall release of iOS 7 to the public. The third beta has come exactly two weeks after iOS 7 Beta 2 as predicted last month.

The iOS 7 Beta 3 update for developers includes a handful of bug fixes and stability improvements. As Apple warns with every beta release, iOS 7 Beta 3 should only be installed on development devices dedicated solely to beta software development.

To update an iOS 7 beta device to the latest beta firmware, you can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and find the update. From there you can download and install the update over the air (OTA) via a Wi-Fi network.

The update is for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. We will keep you updated on any new features found in the new release.

Battery is going to drain faster because not everything has been optimized yet. As for spotlight it works fine for me.

Mlee (who asked the original question) has an iPhone 5. So do I. Not sure what your point was.

I'm just stating that Geohot has released something, and I thought I would have posted it here cause he's a well known in the iOS jailbreak community

For those who have successfully updated, how long did it take? My iPhone 5 is showing 2 hours! It only took me a few minutes to update to beta 2. Anyone else having this problem?

Edit: NVM it is now showing less then 10 minutes.

"Chit Chat" would've been a good forum to state your article. Definitely not this thread.

Wasn't sure how I liked the new font at the start, but after using the Messages app I've realized that the font makes it much easier to read conversations. Before, I found it very hard to read the white letters over the blue background of sent texts...

OTA from beta 2 to beta 3 completed in about 20 minutes on iPad 3. This includes time from check for update to back on lock screen.

The yellow on white in the notes app is still a pain to read even though they added a slight drop shadow and made it bold.

Are you sure you have things checked in the spotlight settings?

The only major bug I've found so far is the wallpaper going black when you go to the app switcher from within an app and close all apps. (Same as in Beta 2) Other than that it's a MUCH more stable release.
