  • iOS 7 Beta 3 Now Available for Developer Testing

Apple has Monday afternoon seeded iOS 7 Beta 3 to developers for preview testing ahead of the Fall release of iOS 7 to the public. The third beta has come exactly two weeks after iOS 7 Beta 2 as predicted last month.

The iOS 7 Beta 3 update for developers includes a handful of bug fixes and stability improvements. As Apple warns with every beta release, iOS 7 Beta 3 should only be installed on development devices dedicated solely to beta software development.

To update an iOS 7 beta device to the latest beta firmware, you can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and find the update. From there you can download and install the update over the air (OTA) via a Wi-Fi network.

The update is for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. We will keep you updated on any new features found in the new release.

There are links all over the place, this isn't the place to be providing said links.. If you can't figure out how to find them, you probably shouldn't be upgrading to beta software!

Currently getting an update error: "Unable to Check for Update". Anyone know how to fix this? I'm assuming the work around is going to be to just use my computer once I am home from work.

I'm getting that on my iPad. I'm guessing the servers are busy. Connecting to my computer didn't work either, it says it's up to date. I'll just keep trying.

OTA was smooth as silk. Looks like lots of font tweaks, new animations for app downloads/updates, and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff I haven't investigated yet. So far no reboots.

People say it can brick the device when it's not activated through the dev account. Any truth to that or just bs. Thanks

"Brick"? No. Render completely useless? Absolutely. Happened to me when I got my phone replaced and I didn't have the same UDID. It can only occur during the on-screen activation. It would stay on a screen and say you weren't registered. I had to even download a program to find out my UDID!

(And for anyone who's wondering, I downgraded before going to the Apple store, even though I am legally registered with a good friend of mine anyd everything)

OTA seems to be working. Says less than a minute remaining. On iPad 3.

Not to sound mean but if you need to ask those types of questions you shouldn't be running the beta....
