  • Instagram for iOS Updated With Landscape Camera Support, Front-facing Camera Cinema

The popular free iOS photography and social networking application known as Instagram has received an update Friday bringing the application to version 4.0.2.

In version 4.0.2, Instagram has received support for using the camera in landscape orientation versus the usual portrait orientation. The landscape orientation supports both photography and videography… notably, Instagram just recently added support for videos.

In addition, users can now use Cinema mode with the front-facing camera. In other words, users can now use the front-facing camera to record video. Before the update, users were restricted to using the rear-facing camera only for capturing videos in the Instagram application.

The update also claims to add in a number of bug fixes and improvements to add to the application's overall security and stability. Existing users of Instagram will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store; alternatively, the latest version of Instagram can be downloaded for free via this App Store link.

Hopefully one of these future updates will finally add support for multiple accounts like twitter. I seriously can't imagine why it's taking them so long to add that feature. Having to constantly sign in and out of your personal or business account blows!

Agreed, and like me sometime you have to do that 6 or 7 times, and then twice a day.

Because Facebook like to control and only give things people want after they make a major mistake

Me too...I was scratching my head over that supposed update. Oh well. At least it "still works".
