  • Rumored Low-Cost iPhone Colored Back Panel Images Surface

Recently released pictures appear to show a variety of plastic back panels for the rumored low-cost iPhone, displayed in bright colors that are a major shift from the current black and white models. The images were released by Nowhereelse.fr and appear to show the back panels in green, red and yellow. The parts show Apple’s logo, the iPhone brand logo, space for a camera lens, LED flash, and a rear-facing microphone.

Aside from being made of plastic and offering a slew of new colors, the parts appear to have a similar form factor to the current iPhone 5, including a taller display than previous models. This fits in with rumors that speculate that the low-cost iPhone will stick with the same 4-inch display as the iPhone 5.

The designs seem to match up with previously leaked schematics and the red and the yellow colors would correspond with the current color options for the iPod Touch, with the exception of the green model. Apple does offer the iPod nano and iPod shuffle in green variants though, which is why the colors may have some truth to them. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait for more concrete evidence though.

You don't need a less expensive car for under 25. Under 25 can rent an expensive car just fine. You just need to pay "young driver" fee.
Ok then why make a cheaper phone? Bad credit is probably because they are too focused on having a smart phone rather than paying the bills. If I had bad credit I'd be sticking with whatever is free.

You know there's a thing called "no credit". And that doesn't mean "bad credit". For example, take a 16 year old that works at Mc Donald's and gets paid. He cashes his check every week from Amscot and spends it on his necessities. He never had a credit card and hence no credit. That doesn't mean the guy has bad credit and he shouldn't be allowed to own an iPhone.

You don't have to have a credit card to have credit. A pay stub will typically suffice for lack of credit. All of the carriers that offer the iPhone in the US require a credit check regardless of if you are signing a contract, including T-Mobile when you pay for the phone out right.

World is a lot bigger than US. Apple sells iPhone to 126 countries.

You are missing the point. Apple does not make low end products. They charge a premium and have no problem selling those premium items. As I have said in another thread regarding these plastic iPhones, Apple has phased out all of its products with plastic casings. A plastic iPhone is a 5yr step backwards for the company and makes no sense design wise in their current lineup.

I'm not talking about a plastic iPhone. All I said was about a low cost iPhone without contract.
