City of Cupertino Streaming Wed. Meeting on Apple's New Campus
The City of Cupertino, California will provide a live stream on Wednesday for a public meeting designed to explore the environmental impact of Apple's forthcoming Campus 2.
News of the meeting's widespread accessibility via live Internet stream comes just weeks after Apple put forward a comprehensive new report showcasing how the planned campus development will benefit Cupertino and the surrounding communities from an economic standpoint.
Now, a different type of green is coming into focus. Despite what appears to be overwhelming support across Cupertino for the new campus, concerns linger.
"We are concerned about the fate of the trees in and around the new Apple Campus," one concerned Cupertino resident writes. "A couple of months ago, we met a man who claimed he was an arborist hired by Apple and that he planned to chop down 6000 trees on the Campus and around the streets with replacements of new trees."
The meeting begins Wednesday at 6:30 pm PST and can be streamed online here
