  • Leading Canadian Carriers to Begin Selling iPad, iPad mini

Although Apple's iPad and iPad mini are far from novelty items to consumers up north in Canada, finding the devices can be rough, especially if you're looking for them at a Canadian wireless carrier's retail store.

In the U.S., of course, you can wander into stores carrying the banner of AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and others to pick up an Apple tablet with relative ease. Soon, auspiciously for Canadians, the same will be true at Rogers and Telus - two leading Canadian wireless carriers.

Engadget was first to report on Friday that Rogers and Telus have begun notifying customers that cellular LTE versions of Apple's tablets - the iPad and iPad mini - are coming soon to their respective stores. "Details are scarce," the report reads, "although the two networks promise that they'll keep offering contract-free data plans."

As of this writing, neither carrier has confirmed dates or prices for the Apple devices on their websites. But they will start turning up "in the coming weeks."
