Apple Unveils iWork for iCloud
Apple announced Monday afternoon that iWork for iCloud would make it possible to edit iWork documents through a Web browser. iWork has until now been a Mac-only software suite, but because the software can be used in a Web Browser, it will work for Mac users and PC users.
iWork for iCloud is accessed through a Web browser, and users will have access to Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. The software will support the Microsoft Office counterparts for cross-compatibility too. Documents, whether they're from Microsoft office or iWork, are stored in the cloud so they can be accessed from any machine. Drag and drop interfaces make it easy to upload documents.
Even though the software is accessed through a Web browser, users will still get all of the great features like animations, graphics, different fonts, text sizes, and more.
Safari, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome will be supported by iWork for iCloud. It will available soon for developers, but all users will get access to the feature later in 2013.
