  • iOS 7 and OS X Banners Spotted At Moscone West Ahead of WWDC 2013

Apple began setting up decorations at Moscone West in San Francisco for WWDC 2013 on Tuesday and the highly-anticipated event will officially kick off Monday of next week.

Friday afternoon a new banner was spotted that shows what appears to be the new logo for what will be iOS 7 when it is announced at WWDC 2013. The banner confirms that iOS 7 will indeed be announced this coming Monday. It will be released to developers as a beta so developers can start readying applications for an official launch that is likely to be in the Fall.

iOS 7, which is being overseen by Apple’s Jonathan Ive, is expected to carry a “flatter” design that will do away with skeuomorphism. Notably, the banner also carries a skinnier font than usual that may indicate that iOS could receive a font change in iOS 7.

Apple's new WWDC application carries a similar "flat" design that many believe might offer a sneak peek of what stock iOS 7 interfaces could look like. The application allows developers that aren't able to attend the event to still stay up to date on big announcements.

Also spotted is a banner for OS X, which appears to carry the same skinny font that the iOS 7 banner carries. Apple is expected to also unveil an updated version of OS X, which the banner appears to confirm:

Are you excited to see what Apple has ready to offer in the latest software updates?

The sign isn't too revealing like others in the past. Just clean and simple.

I'm even wondering if the Devs will announce whether their exploits are still available in the beta versions. If they do, then Apple will know they have a security risk and work harder to find/patch them.

At the same time, if they don't let us know, then the JB community will get their panties in a wad and cry about not knowing...

Please add to the list of words that should be retired: skeuomorphism....

Apple should stop putting time into security to avoid jailbreaking. Eventually, a jailbreak will always release, it's just a matter of time. I hope ios7 will blow our minds.

Same here. I vote for a 10-15min trial period for apps in the App Store.

The clean flat skinny font reminds me of Metro.

Who knows... I'd rather have them not then at the launch of iOS 7 just release a jailbreak that day... Wouldn't that be nice

So do I, but I feel like too many people will ***** about not having a jailbreak for so long like I did with iOS 6...

They have to keep working on patching the jailbreaks because if they don't they can't preach how secure their OS is compared to others. But your right, there's likely always going to be a jailbreak. At least as long as iPhones and Apple are relevant in the world anyways

You don't have to restore your phone to wipe everything? Search iLex R.A.T on google, removes everything except jailbreak without updating or restoring, all done thru cydia
