  • AT&T Adds 18 New Markets to Their Expanding Nationwide 4G LTE Coverage

AT&T just finished adding coverage to twelve other locations at the end of May; it doesn't stop there. AT&T has announced Wednesday morning that the carrier has added another eighteen United States cities to its 4G LTE network coverage. The eighteen lucky new cities that have received 4G LTE coverage this Wednesday morning are:

    • Batesville, Arkansas
    • Blytheville, Arkansas
    • Clewiston, Florida
    • Colorado Springs, Colorado
    • Columbus, Indiana
    • Farmington, New Mexico
    • Forrest City, Arkansas
    • Fort Wayne, Indiana
    • Heber, Utah
    • Idaho Falls, Idaho
    • Miami, Oklahoma
    • Muskegon, Michigan
    • Olympia, Washington
    • Pocatello, Idaho
    • Spokane, Washington
    • Vineland, New Jersey
    • Williamsport, Pennsylvania
    • Wooster, Ohio

4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of about 100Mb/s; however, due to the unfortunate realities of network congestion, the download speeds when connected to 4G LTE in real life situations are closer to around 20-60Mb/s.

Many of Apple's latest devices, including the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and iPad with retina display can take advantage of 4G LTE data speeds on AT&T's cellular network.

Are you from any of the locations listed?

I hate how the only carriers that Modmyi posts about are AT&T and Verizon. Like, why do they matter so much? Their LTE network is everywhere!! Why not post about Sprint expanding their LTE coverage, or maybe T-Mobile? Sprint just opened LTE up to like 40 more markets in the past couple weeks, and I haven't seen a single thing about it on here. I had to go Google it in order to find out about it. Why are you so focused on AT&T and Verizon anyways?

I get upwards of 70Mbps now that LTE has spread east of Atlanta where I live. It's too bad I don't have unlimited data though!
