  • Apple Relocating Flagship San Francisco Retail Store

Apple is on the move in San Francisco.

Sources in the beautiful Bay area indicate that Apple has submitted plans to open a brand spankin' new retail store on Union Square. Should these plans pan out, Apple would effectively relocate its nine-year-old store in San Francisco, which is less than one mile from the would-be new location.

Supervisor David Chiu said he hoped the new silver box-shaped computer store and customer service center would “turbo-charge” the Union Square area, which has long been home to many of the city’s high-end retailers.
Apple's rumored next retail home in San Fransisco was formerly occupied by Levi’s. We understand the new space is also 45% bigger than the store Apple presently operates in town. All the old familiar features will still be there - just bigger and better.

Additionally, the mayor of San Francisco, Ed Lee, says that he and his administration are working with Apple to implement more “green measures” and “energy efficiencies” for the new location of Apple's retail store.

Awesome makes sense that space is much bigger. Location is perfect too. I'm looking forward to it.
