  • App Store Reaches 50 Billion App Downloads


    Apple announced Wednesday that the App Store has reached 50 billion downloads. This number counts the number of individual application downloads, and does not include re-downloads.

    The downloader of the 50 billionth application in the App Store gets a $10,000 iTunes gift card. The winner has yet to be announced. 50 more lucky winners will receive a $500 iTunes gift card. In total, Apple will be giving away $35,000 worth of iTunes-redeemable currency.

    The winners are expected to be announced in the near future we will keep you updated on the results. Good luck to everyone that participated!
