  • Slide Down on App Switcher Icons to Close the Apps With 'Slide2Kill'

Those of you looking to improve upon the stock App Switcher without replacing it with an App Switcher alternative should check out a new free jailbreak tweak called Slide2Kill by iOS developer Suu.

As the name implies, you will be able to slide down on application icons that display in the iOS App Switcher to remove them from the multitasking tray. You merely grab the icon and flick it down, just like you do in the popular Auxo App Switcher alternative.

Sliding down on the application feels a lot more fluid than having to hold down on the application icons to put them in jiggle mode and then tap on little close buttons at the top left of each application icon. It is a lot faster too!

Slide2Kill does not come with any options to configure and is available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository if you're interested in giving it a whirl.

Same here. I like KillBackground a lot and I always kill them all.

Trust, Auxo is the best appswitcher tweak out there and it's well worth $2. This tweak is a bonus function for Auxo.

Good job on the tweak though. Free is always the best price

The way apple handles multitasking is ridiculously retarded. Having to double tap the home button, then hold an app icon just for a little close button to appear takes 5 seconds more than it needs to. I have mine set up with Zephyr and Springtomize so I can swipe up and the apps are there along with their close buttons. Probably the most useful two tweaks out there.

Does Zephyr still have that massive mem leak? I uninstalled it a couple months ago cuz it was so bad.

runs fine on my i4..there doesn't seem to be that annoying black screen bug anymore either.

Awesome I'll test it out on mine again. Thx for the info, I honestly really like Zephyr but that mem leak was brutal, I could watch my free mem drop every few seconds ;P

Edit: Tried it out. Works flawlessly, I'm very pleased No leak, no glitches, no significant batt drain.

Why do u need kill background when switcher cleaner has that function built in. Long press to close all.

Slide2Kill has been updated again and seems to be working better now. Sliding down or up for single app is working fine and so is the kill all on my 4S on 6.1.2. I noticed that a quick flick in the direction you choose end the app works better than holding down the app and swiping. But that could be the sensitivity setting I am using.
