  • 'FullScroll' Auto-hides the Title Bar to Give You a "Full Screen" Experience

FullScroll is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS hacker and developer Ryan Petrich that automatically hides the title bars and/or toolbars in an application when scrolling down to give you a much more full-screen effect. When you begin to scroll back up again, the hidden elements will reveal themselves again, similarly to what happens in the latest Facebook or Google Chrome applications for iOS.

In all, the tweak is very simple; however, the visual effect that comes from hiding the potentially unnecessary elements is not only easy on the eyes, but gives you a little more screen space to use for reading or navigating. The tweak works across multiple applications, and not just the Settings application pictured above.

From the tweak’s preferences pane in the Settings application, you will be able to configure the tweak on a per-application basis. You can choose to hide the title bar, the title bar and toolbar, or leave it to work the way it normally would without the jailbreak tweak installed:

If you’re interested in giving FullScroll a try, you can grab it for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository.

Doesn't work quite right with this app. The "write a reply" bar slides up when the nav bar is hidden.

Another very well made tweak from local celebrity Ryan Petrich.

However, I'm not going to use it as if you have been scrolling down you need to scroll up slightly to get your 'back' button back. Not such a problem on Android when you have a physical back button but slightly annoying on iOS.

I am used to this functionality from using Chrome for iOS. I actually like this and you barely have to scroll down to get the nav bar back.

This particular tweak bricked my 4s, and it took me 3 1/2 hours to fix it. It wouldn't let me boot in safe mode even. AVOID THIS LIKE IT IS THE PLAGUE

You are most mistaken. FullScroll definitely cannot do anything like that.

Thanks so much Ryan for all of your Cydia contributions. FullScroll works flawlessly on all 3 of my iPhones. The added screen space and/or fullscreen functionality is very much needed for small screen Apple iPhones and can be customized even further with the latest update you made to FullScroll.

      Thanks again!

Needs additional work bugs in scrolling.
