  • 'BatteryDoctorPro' is an Impressive iOS Power Management Platform

Battery life is a huge deal to many iOS users. For this reason, we thought we’d show you a cool new power management tweak in Cydia called BatteryDoctorPro.

From a first glance, BatteryDoctorPro is impressive. The interface is sleek, it’s well designed, and it’s all-around useful. Shown above, the tweak reminds you after you install it for the first time that you can tap on the battery indicator to open up a drop-down menu. From the drop-down menu, you will be able to access several toggles, change your power setting, view the amount of used RAM, and access your App Switcher (Auxo-compatible) all in one place.

The toggles/shortcuts you have access to include (NOTE: Some of the toggles listed may have to be manually enabled from the BatteryDoctorPro application):

    • Enable or disable Wi-Fi
    • Enable or disable Data
    • Enable or disable 3G
    • Adjust display brightness
    • Free RAM
    • Enable or disable Airplane Mode
    • Emulate home button
    • Enable or disable Location Services
    • Clear all application badges
    • Toggle flashlight
    • Enable or disable Do Not Disturb
    • Lock the device
    • Enable or disable Rotation Lock
    • Enable or disable Auto-lock
    • Enable or disable sounds
    • Enable or disable Bluetooth
    • Respring the device
    • Reboot the device
    • Power off the device
    • Enable or disable Personal Hotspot
    • Enable or disable VPN
    • Fix application icons
    • Take a screenshot
    • Enable or disable vibration

The different power modes you have to choose from include:

    • FAV
      • Your own custom settings
    • Indoor
      • Wi-Fi is turned on and brightness at 50%
      • Data, 3G, Airplane Mode, Location Services, and Bluetooth are turned off
      • Best for use when at home
    • Outdoor
      • Data, 3G, and Location Services are turned on and brightness at 50%
      • Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode and Bluetooth are turned off
      • Best for use when out and about
    • Sleep
      • Airplane Mode is turned on and brightness at 50%
      • Wi-Fi, Data, 3G, Location Services, and Bluetooth are turned off
      • Best for use when sleeping

BatteryDoctorPro includes a Notification Center widget, which does all of the same things that the battery indicator dropdown menu does. Both the Notification Center widget, and the battery indicator dropdown menu can be enabled or disabled whenever you feel like enabling or disabling them:

From the BatteryDoctorPro application, which is palced on the home screen after installing the jailbreak tweak from Cydia, you can access all of the same options; however, you will also find some other goodies. For example, you will be able to clean up the junk files that accumulate on your iOS device over time. The application will give you the amount of space that it was able to clear after it cleans the junk files:

The application includes other useful features, such as battery information records, system information, application managers, and much more. The system information gives you interesting information about your device, as well as the operating temperature, amount of free RAM, amount of free storage, the CPU usage, and more.

It’s difficult not to recommend this application, being that it’s completely free and gives you a ton of useful features and information. BatteryDoctorPro is compatible with iOS 5 or later, and can be used on any iPhone or iPod touch. If you’re interested in giving it a try, you will find it in Cydia’s BigBoss repository.

I had this installed for a while and recommended it to a friend. Web this English version came out he installed and put him in a boot loop no more jailbreak for him, so I'm concerned about installing this version

I was actually one of the lucky users that was able to uninstall this app without any problems, but I can say that It would mess with the radios and disconnect you from wifi or even your data network. There are several discussions on reddits r/ jailbreak where several users were complaining about boot loops and losing their jailbreak. So I would stay away from this app for the foreseeable future

Been using this for a couple months. Absolutely great. Installed this English version today no problem. I tried writing MMi about it a while ago but I guess they just ignore me. And I agree. How is this free? I'd easy pay maybe even $5 for this. It's so feature rich and great UI. Fantastic app indeed.

Do not install this tweak. The previous version has had nothing but problems over on the jailbreak subreddit.

Anthony, I can't believe that this made it to ModMyi. Do not install if you want keep your jailbreak.

      What problems have there been?
      Cellular Radios stop working
      Unrecoverable boot loops
      iOS system glitches & more

      Stay away from this app.

I've been using this since yesterday. It's amazing. No troubles here on iPod 4g. Easily replaced ncsettings. Just don't be a baby and try it. So far the people who tried this version have no problems. Recommend it.

I have been testing the tweak for a solid 8 hours or more. I've used all of the functions.

No boot loops, glitches, or issues with cellular radios have plagued my testing.

EDIT: PLEASE don't install if you value your jailbreak. no idea wtf is going on. After using the "cleanup" function and respringing i'm missing most of my applications (cydia) and all the stock ios apps. Rebooting with/ without the volume button doesn't do anything. Now im stuck with an iphone with no messages app, phone or safari, time to update to 6.1.3 Thanks @anthonybouchard

stay away from this app!!!! i installed it yesterday and my iphone 5 went into boot loop. Lost my jailbreak and have to restore to 6.1.3 (spend all night waiting for it to restore as I don't have 6.1.3 on my mac on a slow connection).

now i feel miserable loosing my jailbreak and have to wait for ios7 for the next jailbreak. you have been warned!

This app is truly amazing. Replaced omnistat, sbsettings, batteryinfo, ncsettings, and killbackground. I know this tweak is free but does the dev have a Paypal account, I WANT to pay him for this amazing tweak.

I read all this doom and gloom about using this app before this article. I have been using this tweak for months and installed this version and still no issues. It has to be a conflicting tweak and not solely this app.

I have many tweaks so it must be something others have on their phone that is causing the issues.

Everybody's always talking about loosing their jailbreaks due to "unrecoverable bootloops", I have had this problem in the past (2-3 years ago now) but then the guy who created Cydia (Saurik, god I hope you guys knew that already) created SUBSTRATE SAFE MODE. Since its creation it is automatically installed with mobile substrate, and has saved me from several bootloops/respringloops all with the press and hold of the volume up button. Granted it might take a couple minutes of holding the button, but I deem a tired finger a small price to pay in order to keep my jailbreak. Is there really that many people that ignore the obvious, or am I missing something?
