  • Apple Reportedly Contacting Developers With WWDC 2013 Tickets Even After Selling Out

Early Thursday, WWDC 2013 tickets went on sale and ended up selling out within seconds. The year's sell-out was much faster than last year’s two-hour sell out, and as we reported earlier, was Apple's fastest WWDC sell-out in history.

While several people that wanted to go to WWDC won’t be able to go now because of the tickets having sold out already, Apple has been reportedly getting in touch with select developers and offering them “reserved” tickets. MacRumors cites software developer Daniel Jalkut, who Tweeted about the situation earlier today.

The report details how Apple is contacting specific software developers by phone and letting them know that tickets are being reserved in their names, and that within 12 hours, they will receive instructions via e-mail on how to purchase a WWDC 2013 ticket – even with the tickets having been sold out already.

It would appear that for some lucky developers, all hope is not yet lost.
