Apple Preparing First Berlin Retail Store
With Germany a major market for Apple devices today, it comes as little surprise that Apple is gearing up to open its first retail store in the capital city of Berlin.
The grand opening will reportedly take place sometime during the month of May.
Although we may get an update on Apple's retail plans next week during the company's next quarterly earnings call, in February Apple had 396 retail stores in operation around the world. Collectively, these stores saw 121 million visors during the last quarter for which Apple reported earnings and retail store traffic.
"There's no better place to discover, explore and learn about our products than in retail," Apple CEO Tim Cook said in February. "Our team members there are the most amazing, awesome, incredible people on earth. It's the best retail experience, it's an experience where you walk in and instantly realize it's for the purpose of serving, not selling."
