  • 'ShareNotes' Brings Facebook and Twitter Sharing to the Notes App

The notes application is useful for when you want to jot down thoughts that you donít want to forget later. One feature the Notes application lacks is sharing, which is something that would be great for any thoughts you might jot down.

A new free jailbreak tweak called ShareNotes by iOS developer iMokhles adds more sharing features to the Notes application so you can put your thoughts out there for the world to read if you so choose. More specifically, it adds Facebook and Twitter share buttons.

Tapping on either button brings up a Twitter or Facebook share sheet (depending on the one you tap on) with the content of the note put into the share sheet. If youíre sharing through Twitter, itís important to remember to keep the content of the note under 140 characters. Facebook is much more forgiving with character count.

After the content is put into the Twitter or Facebook share sheet, you are free to post or Tweet the note and it will move through to the social network of your choice through iOSí built-in Facebook and/or Twitter integration. The way it works is very smooth and stock-like, which is a one-up for ShareNotes.

You can grab ShareNotes for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository; it requires iOS 6.0 or later to install.
