Last week, we showed you a powerful new jailbreak tweak called Icon Tool
that allowed you to easily manage the data from your applications. The tweak gave us cache-clearing options, badge-clearing options, iFile shortcuts, and more importantly, back-up and restore options for the application data.
The same developer has followed up with an application, which is available in Cydia, called Icon Tool App, which allows you to manage all of your application data back-ups. This is useful for when you back up an applicationís data more than once, and want to delete any old back-ups that you know you arenít going to need anymore.
As shown above, the application gives you a list of all user-installed applications, and allows you to tap on them to show all the back-ups stored for each application, as shown below:
Each backup, individually, shows the date and time when it was created. By tapping on the back-up, the application will prompt you to see if you want to delete the back-up or not:
If you want to create another back-up, you wonít need the Icon Tool App for this. You can simply use the Icon Tool jailbreak tweak over again to create another back-up. The Icon Tool jailbreak tweak is also used to restore applications via their back-ups, so you wonít be able to use the Icon Tool App for either of these functions, as the application is merely a GUI (graphical user interface) for getting rid of old back-ups.
If you havenít checked out the Icon Tool
jailbreak tweak yet, you should. Itís a useful tweak for any device!
