'Pluck' Is a Great New Music Picker for the Lock Screen
Those looking for easier music control on the lock screen should check out a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Pluck
by iOS developer rvirajm
As shown above, the tweak adds a new button to the lock screen next to the volume slider. The button, when tapped, displays a music picker sheet, shown below, which resembles the actual iOS 6 music application:
The tweak comes with a preferences pane in the Settings application where the user can configure the tweak’s options to their liking. The tweak comes with the option to enable and disable the music button on demand, as well as choose whether the button shows up on the left or the right of the lock screen.
Below we show you what the button looks like on either side of the lock screen:
Pluck is designed to look good, as well as provide you with easy access to your music library from the lock screen. In our opinion, the tweak succeeds on both fronts. Pluck only works with the stock Music application, and not with third party music applications like Spotify, Grooveshark, or Pandora. It also requires an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, as the iPad is not yet supported.
