Last week I posted the video interview between MakeItWork and Saurik, aka Jay Freeman. He quickly showed off an jailbroken iPhone 4 and ideally the video was to promote the radio show to follow.

Today we have video footage courtesy of MakeItWork of the interview they had promoted in the first part. The video aired yesterday, July 24th. Saurik discusses the history of jailbreaking and the upcoming jailbreak by @comex.

Nope, if you have the 3GS brand new stock, you can't unloc it with today tools, since te bootloader, bootrom and iOS is new and is more like the iPhone 4 than 3GS.

Nope, unless you can downgrade. This is why people like him shouldn't post false info.

Search the JB forum and you'll find your fix.

Saurik, if you happen to see this... yes its easy for Apple to determine who is using a jailbroken iDevice. An example would be the diagnostic information that is optionally submitted to Apple. When a Mac Genius plugs your iDevice into their computer, they run a Mac Application that shows diagnostic information such as Apps that have crashed lately, percentage of dropped calls, etc. I have seen Cydia show up on that list before, so Apple can definitely tell which applications you have installed, "extensions/plugins" I have no idea about.

I haven't seen a tweet or a blog post from planetbeing comes or musclenerd about a release coming in the next few days so why the heck does this post say that? This has been going on for a month on many web sites and it's STILL not released! Stop posting this garbage! Make a post that says "AND..." and when we click the article is says "happy jailbreaking iPhone 4 users" and there is a link to download it and about 10 mirrors links and a torrent link! Common sense?

      That's hilarious.

If skype can tell if you're jailbroken, I'm pretty sure apple can.

Good on Saurik and the radio station for informing people what jailbreaking is about. many people that I know think jailbreaking is for getting illegal apps instead of being able to have full control of their device.

The radio host we can't see sounds like a douche bag tho!

No the Installer team (RipDev) QUIT, yeah they said they had reasons, but to carry on when adversity comes shows true steel and determination

isn't this kind of dumb to be doing though? I mean this one sounds like a freaking internet radio station or something and the history of jailbreaking is being spread with the faces and name showing clear as day. At thew end of the day we are tampering with a device and using it in ways its not intended. It kind of seems like a pot farmer in Florida having an interview with his name being poured out. Maybe I just don't know the "cyber laws" of things. I mean Saurik and Planetbeing attend the WWDC each year, lol

With a JB'd iPad and Skype, one can indeed make calls.

Very interesting stuff. I can't believe that only 9% of users jailbreak their devices though! I thought it was more than that. I'm predicting the new jailbreak will be released on Tuesday.
