Last week I posted the video interview between MakeItWork and Saurik, aka Jay Freeman. He quickly showed off an jailbroken iPhone 4 and ideally the video was to promote the radio show to follow.

Today we have video footage courtesy of MakeItWork of the interview they had promoted in the first part. The video aired yesterday, July 24th. Saurik discusses the history of jailbreaking and the upcoming jailbreak by @comex.

      1. As already stated, I was joking, really, its gonna be ok. Make like an Articuno and chill.

      2. If you bothered to go through my 87 posts, you'd realize that when I thank someone for something, I leave them a message on their thread instead of just hitting a button. More personal that way, and gets the point across.

      3. No point for a list with only two points.

      Have a nice day, sir.

@Wilbourn - Thank you sir for getting to that before I did. I love this community so much.

I had no idea there was only around 10 people to do this kind of stuff on a regular basis. nice interview, it definitely sheds light on jail breaking and the facts behind it all.

Ya, I just cant get over that. Only 10 people out of 5-10 Billion. Its almost an impossible sounding situation. I mean seriously, how is there not SOMEONE out there trying, at least now, to learn how to JB or at least attempt it since its become so popular and is the core part of this whole "jailbreak community" 6 million strong. Really, six million and noone even knows how to start learning how to jailbreak?

      Definitely cant youtube it, haha.

How crazy is it to think, if Apple had done all of this purposefully, ie. release a product with limitations, then have some unknown group of young outlaw hackers, all with nicknames come shooting up the OS, releasing its full potential.... it would be the sickest, most genius marketing ploy/strategy ever devised or thought of. It has literally created this specific situation were in right now. Where everyone is giddy and buzzing with excitement about the next one, and then the next one. And with Jobs and the antics... its like friggin willy wonka etc. Awesome!

Its like theres no way someone could have masterminded all this, but also its like how is this even possible nowadays? A handful of people fighting vs. a whole army of corporate software engineers, and noone else has the power to do it? Its all so cool and strange, and mysterious and i ^#^@ing love it all.

      Cant wait for this JB!

Sounds like your 3G or WiFi might be a bit slow because I don't believe it's the IP4 or the iPad. I was able to watch both videos on my IP4 on 3G without interruption. I feel bad for you, I really do.

I miss my iPhone saying "Low Juice" when my battery is at 20%.

SAURIK ROCKS!!!! GO COMEX!!!! My son is 19 and can barely get out of bed in the afternoon. I think I will wake him up this morning (I work the overnight shift) when I get home.

didnt know comex was 17...jesusChrist. no wonder its taking a bit to create the tool. he still has to do all his homework when he gets home from school
This wouldn't make much sense for him to be doing homework if the new firmware came out at the end of June (summer) because school is out. No homework. And who's to say he didn't graduate early if he's this smart? Unless he's going to college. Then yes maybe homework if he's attending the summer courses.

Well, Ive been jailbreaking my iPhone for years, but ive never known them
Finish it, and not release it soon after and be so particular about it..
They usually release it a few days after, then if anyone finds a bug,
They fix it and release 1.2.. ect ..

Dunno, .. Its turning fishy ..

Apple can't touch them. As Saurik said in the interview the only thing Apple can do is deny your warranty claim. They even state in a post on their website if you have a jailbroken phone they won't honor it. Apple has no legal recourse, as of right now and since jailbreaking started back in the jailbreakme.com days, to go after anyone involved in jailbreaking.

(I remember waiting until a public jailbreak came out, going to my local AT&T store in Columbus Ga, buying the phone, and sitting in their parking lot to use their free wifi and entering the numbers on the emergency call screen to access the settings to turn on wifi. 5 minutes later I had a jailbroken iPhone courtesy of AT&Ts free wifi.)
Thanks for the info on that, clears up some questions I've had for sometime.
