'ToDoNotes 2' Released With Support for iOS 6
The popular ToDoNotes jailbreak tweak by iOS developer moeseth
, which was created as a part of the tweak week daily challenge in the past, has been updated Thursday with support for iOS 6. The iOS 6-suppored version of the tweak is a separate package from the original package called ToDoNotes 2 (iOS 6)
. It is available in Cydia right now.
As shown above, the tweak allows the user to tap and hold on the share button in the Notes application and bring up a “Push to ToDoNotes” button. Tapping on the Push to ToDoNotes button adds any of the notes on the notepad to a yellow-colored note interface that shows up in the SpotLight interface on the home screen.
Users can also double-tap on the note interface to hide the keyboard so more of the note can be seen if it’s under the keyboard:
The tweak is great because it makes the SpotLight page useful rather than having a legacy feature, which hardly anyone uses anymore, taking up a page on the home screen. If users still want to use SpotLight, they can; the tweak doesn’t disable SpotLight, and if the user begins a search in the SpotLight search bar, it will work as expected. Deleting any text from the SpotLight search bar shows the notes again.
ToDoNotes 2 doesn't come with any options to configure. If you take a lot of notes, this might be a handy tweak for you.
