  • LockInfo 2.0 - The Most Comprehensive LockScreen App Available

LockInfo, developed by David Ashman, who also brought us WeatherIcon, has updated LockInfo to 2.0 bringing a plethora of new features making it the most complete, and comprehensive LockScreen app available for the iPhone.

LockInfo is now completely interactive, infact, so interactive that I find myself unlocking my iPhone less and less, completing most tasks right from the lockscreen. I can preview emails, delete emails, mark emails as read, and so on for SMS and Push Notifications. That's right, push notifications are now featured in LockInfo.

I simply tap on an email, and the windows swings around showing me a preview of the message I wish to read. By tapping a refresh icon, I can check for new mail as well. Read and manage everything from your lockscreen quickly, and smoothly, I **** you not. There are privacy settings that will allow you to hide SMS Texts and even be more specific and hide just subjects and modify preview settings.

    New features in 2.0 include:
    • Push notifications right on your lockscreen.
    • Preview your emails from the lockscreen. No need to unlock.
    • Delete your emails after previewing them.
    • Mark emails, SMSs and push notifications as read directly from your lockscreen.
    • Manual refresh for mail, weather and twitter plugins.
    • Privacy settings to hide SMS text and email subjects and previews.
    • Adjustable font sizes.
    • Performance and stability improvements.
    • Note that many of the new features do not work with HTML themes for LockInfo (Gruppled, 235lax, etc). To take full advantage of the new features, you should turn off the HTML themes in WinterBoard.
LockInfo 2.0 is available in Rock and Cydia for $4.99. Check it Out now via the ModMyi repo

Next week I will be featuring a LockScreen showdown between the various LockScreen apps we currently have available in the JB Community. We'll go into detail about each and compare their pros and cons.

My review on LockInfo 2.0 here: LockInfo 2.0 - How the iPhone Lockscreen Should Be | JordanDev. In the review I also suggest other things that are great to have installed also.

Or a very nice theme you can use for it (lose the email previews however) here: great new teehanlax LockInfo theme by ame235 | JordanDev

It makes it look more like this (which looks very nice, wish the default was closer to it):

I have it installed but I have two problems.

The weather is not working for my location and I cannot get anything else other than mail to show.

will you notice an difference as soon as you install/respring?

I just "upgraded" to 2.0 and don't notice ANYTHING differently then the previous lockinfo I had. Also, I don't think I upgraded because I haven't had to pay $4.99..just using a trial right now.

      Any help?

Perhaps you should take the time to do what he did. (read the rest of the thread). Stimpy addressed him and he actually apologized for the exact post you quoted.

      man, i'm just a person that;

      1- likes the iphone
2- understands the limits of my intellect
3- did not know wtf a crash log was
3a- or how to get it into the hands of the developer
4- every now and then donates to the cause by purchasing an app

you know what? i could make a really long and innocuos list in a vain attempt to shed some light on what most of you will never understand about most ppl who J/B or purchase J/Bn and unlocked iPhones; we have lives, bills to pay, mouths to feed, dogs to walk, cats to stroke and at the end of our busy schedules, like to sit on a couch and play with our toys. That could be a TV program, a hobby, stare at our toenails and even play with an iPhone.
So when i come across an app that i used and liked and would like to use again and then see that it is on sale, i expect to get something of quality in return. Not a friggin infinite reboot/respring which made me **** my pants because i thought all my info was shot to hell.

I am the epitome of a narcissist consumer; i want to pay and pay good, therefore you must give and give good, you twit.

And yes, I sent Mr. Ashman the info he says he needs to look into the problem. In the same message i told him i have been flaming his app every chance i got.

My post was just a reflection of my twisted sense of humor.

i should edit my sig to 'what he said'

Only thing I hate about it is if you block pop ups for notifications, you can't "slide to open" the app when you get a notification. Your only option is "slide to unlock". It's fine for texts, because I have iRealSMS and the message opens in a quickreply box anyway, but push notifications don't.

I have to agree. Lockinfo is a stellar app, and well worth ever penny, but I must say that right now I still like the interface on Intelliscreen more. That said, lockinfo is just getting started, so I'm sure there is still plenty to come. Great work Mr. Ashman, keep it up.
