  • 'InstantCamera' Will Get You to Your Camera Quickly in the Time of Need

Those of you always finding yourself in a tight pinch to get the Camera opened up quick enough to capture an important memory might want to invest in a new jailbreak tweak called InstantCamera by iOS developer ioshack.

InstantCamera makes it so you can set any Activator action you want to immediately opening the Camera application so that you’re ready to shoot a photograph or video. Invoking the action launches the camera application without making you actually close out of the application you’re currently in.

After you snap your photograph or capture your video, you can press the home button once to return to the application you were just in. This feature makes it easy to get back to what you were doing after the photograph opportunity popped up and pick up where you left off.

Apart from choosing the Activator action, the tweak has no options to configure. The developer tells us that the tweak is not yet compatible with the iPad, but works on all iPhones and iPod touches. It also requires iOS 6 to install. If you always find yourself in a bind to snap quick photographs, this tweak is worth trying.

    Name: InstantCamera
    Price: $1
    Version: 1.1-2
Requirements: iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: ioshack
    Editor's Rating: / 3.5/5

Um... I already have the triple click home button set to my camera thru activator... Without this tweak... Am I missing something here?

I was thinking the same. I double tap my status bar to activate my camera. The only thing it adds is to go back to the app you were in when you press the home button rather than going to your home page. No offense but I'm not really seeing the point of this?

A new tweak for something that can already be done? Or is there more to this than I think? :S

The major difference between just Activator and InstantCamera is that Activator alone will take you to your Camera and leave the app you're currently in. InstantCamera will let you go back to the app you were just in by pressing the home button once after taking a picture, so you can get back to what you were doing in fewer steps.
