    The evad3rs have Monday evening updated the evasi0n iOS 6 untethered jailbreak tool to version 1.5.3 to fix some bugs on Windows-based computers. According to the evad3rs, the update fixes a crashing issue; the updated version is available on the evasi0n Web site and can be used to jailbreak any iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2, iOS 6.1, iOS 6.1.1, or iOS 6.1.2 device.

    The bump to version 1.5.3 comes just soon after the recent release of version 1.5.2, which also came out to the public Monday, adding localizations for French, Chinese, and German, as well as updating the Cydia package list to reduce stress on the default Cydia repositories.

    If you’re jailbroken already with evasi0n, there is no reason to re-jailbreak with the updated version; however, you should download the updated tool so that any future devices you may jailbreak will be jailbroken with the latest version, which has the least amount of bugs in it.

      even though I haven't jailbroken my iphone 4s yet, I made my donation...my third so far. Keep up the good work guys!

      is there an evasion symbol slide to unlock tweak out there???

      I just did a update/restore to my iPhone 5 yesterday to 6.1.2 with no problems.

      used the new evasi0n 1.5.3 jailbreak for 2 itouchs 4gen, it went seamlessly!my 2 kids where glued to them all nite adding themes an widgets, great job!

      I can't JB my iPhone or my corporate email stops because it has MobileIron MDM managing it.

      I have a question.. I can't seem to update it via cydia.. Is it just me or is everyone experiencing this??

      So no need to re-jailbreak... Might as well though seeing as how the update is for windows users like myself... Fixes crashes the new version does? Wonder if the program itself was crashing or if the update is to fix some springboard crashing... If this version has the most bugs sorted out then I would think it would be worth re-jailbreaking, especially if we are all gonna be on iOS 6 for a while...

      Like stated, there's no need to re-jailbreak.

      The fix only fixes a problem with the tool crashing when attempting to jailbreak. It doesn't fix crashes on the iOS device.

      6.1.2 is the latest firmware for iPhone 5 so why wouldn't Apple be signing it?

      If you wait until after Apple releases 6.1.3 and you have a problem and have to restore, then you will be out of luck.

      Yes. Search cydia for evasi0n sliders.

      I have already jailbroken my iPhone5, iOS 6.1 with evasion, and I don't want to re-jailbreak, and the update is not showing in the cydia also? any idea how to do this?
