Well-known iOS hacker and developer pimskeks (known for his part in the evasi0n iOS 6 untethered jailbreak) has released an update to his popular AnyAttach jailbreak tweak with support for iOS 6. In addition, he has added some new features and many improvements.
AnyAttach allows you to attach any file present on your iOS device to an e-mail sheet as an attachment. The tweak adds a paperclip button to the e-mail interface, which will open an iFile-style file browser when tapped. From here, you can select the file you want to attach. You can pick any local file, photos or videos from the photos library, files from Dropbox, or even bookmarked files.
New features in today’s update apart from iOS 6 support include:
- A new photo picker preview option
- The ability to insert sharable Dropbox links instead of downloading and attaching the Dropbox file
- Bug fixes and improvements to the photo picker
- A new Dropbox API
- Added Danish, Portuguese, and Romanian localizations
- Overall stability improvements and additional fixes
Those that own AnyAttach already can download the iOS 6-compatible update at no cost. Alternatively, new adopters will find the tweak in the BigBoss repository for $2.99. AnyAttach is currently compatible with iOS 4, iOS 5, and iOS 6 and comes with options that the user can configure via the Settings application under the AnyAttach preferences pane.
