Two weeks ago, AT&T expanded its 4G LTE network and brought it to Gainesville, Florida. Today, AT&T announces that it continues turning on switches for 4G LTE is even more places.
The four new locations that AT&T subscribers will find 4G LTE coverage in include:
- Hartford, Connecticut
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Lubbock, Texas
- Phoenix , Arizona
4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of 100Mb/s, however due to the realities of network congestion, users may really only see about 20-60Mb/s in actual 4G LTE situations. Nonetheless, 4G LTE is still an ultra-fast cellular data solution.
4G LTE exists on many of Apple's newest devices, including the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and iPad with retina display. 4G LTE is also available on many Android smartphones and tablets that AT&T offers.
