iOS hacker planetbeing has announced via Twitter that an updated version of the evasi0n iOS 6 untethered jailbreak tool will be released later Tuesday with support for iOS 6.1.2, the new iOS firmware update that Apple released just earlier today to fix an Exchange calendar bug that quickly drains the iOS device's battery life.
The updated version of evasi0n will be version 1.4 – the current version being 1.3, which added compatibility for iOS 6.1.1 on the iPhone 4S.
If you aren’t experiencing any issues with your current firmware, there’s really no reason to upgrade to iOS 6.1.2. On the other hand, if you are having issues, you should follow this guide to prepare your iOS device for iOS 6.1.2 before jailbreaking. You won't be able to update via OTA if you're jailbroken already, and you should perform a full DFU-mode restore via iTunes to the latest version.
ModMyi will let you know when the latest version of evasi0n (version 1.4) has been released to the public. Stay tuned!
