  • Apple Releases iOS 6.1.2

[WARNING: If you are running a jailbroken device, do NOT update. iOS 6.1.2 may not be jailbreak-friendly. Wait for official word]

On Tuesday, Apple released iOS 6.1.2. As widely anticipated, the update fixes an Exchange calendar bug capable of dramatically eating away at battery life.

iOS 6.1.2 (build number 10B146), which is available as an OTA update (107mb), is Apple's second iOS update in a week.

Several days ago, Apple released iOS 6.1.1 to provide a fix for the Exchange syncing bug.

What remains to be seen, however, is if today's update also takes aim at the iOS passcode exploit.

MMi will keep you posted as we learn more.

Wonder if 6.1.2 patches the jailbreak

Which also begs the question that if this version closes the exploit, was the Exchange bug intentionally set in order to force many of us to comply. Hmmm...

Someone needs to post an article about how to update to the newest iOS if your device is already jailbroken. How do we easily restore our tweaks and their settings? It would be helpful for a lot of people I would think.
