  • Put More App Icons On Each Home Screen Page With 'More Icons'

A jailbreak tweak that allows users to pack more application icons per page called More Icons by phoenix3200, is now available in Cydia's BigBoss repository with full support for the iPhone 5 and for iOS 6.1.

Phoenix3200 just recently updated most of his other popular jailbreak tweaks for iOS 6.1 and the iPhone 5, however an ongoing bug in the private beta of More Icons delayed its public release. That bug is now gone, and the tweak works great for getting a ton of icons packed into that four-inch iPhone 5 display!

In the screenshots above, we combined More Icons with a popular jailbreak tweak called Shrink to reduce the size of the application icons for a more preferred look. Shrink is sold separately.

When you download More Icons, you will get access to a new preferences pane in the Settings application:

From the preferences, you can adjust the number of rows of application icons and the number of columns of the application icons on the home screen. You’ll also be able to adjust the number of application icons on the dock, inside of folders, and in the App Switcher. You can adjust the number to be anywhere between 1 and 20. Obviously if you have stock-size application icons, you don't want to go too high with that number. When combined with Shrink, which can drastically reduce the size of your application icons, you can have tons of apps on just one page.

You'll also find a slider in the preferences pane of More Icons so you can adjust the spacing between the application icons and the edge of the iOS device's display. Taking advantage of this feature will let you squeeze more applications on the display horizontally.

The developer informs us that an update adding more spacing features is coming soon, including the ability to edit spacing between application icons and the top and bottom of the display, and the ability to edit the space between icons in the dock and App Switcher. Keep your eyes peeled for this update in the future!

If you own Shrink, you can grab More Icons for just 99˘. Otherwise, new purchasers of More Icons that don't own Shrink can grab the tweak for $1.49.

I've got springtomize on my iPhone 5. Anybody know if it has an option to add a sixth row of icons like it does 5 rows for previous models?

Am I missing something? This tweak doesn't seem to work at all.
After installing, all I get is an alert style popup saying "More Icons v1.0.6.1-1 Unable to activate. Please your internet connection"

Needless to say, my internet connection is fine. I've removed and reinstalled. Rebooted. But nothing works. Has it come to the stage where Cydia Tweaks have DRM now?

Why? Worst comes to worst you do a hard reboot and boot up in safe mode.

It worked fine on all of our testing devices, so sounds like it had a conflict with one of your installed tweaks.

Just the dock, versus everything? lol

I don't. But someone out there might for visibility purposes.

For everyone having the mini screen problem after boot. There's a simple fix (at least a temp one until app (or conflicting app) is updated) reboot jailbroken iPhone phone holding the volume up button right before you power the device on....to boot it into mobile substrate "safe mode". then launch Cydia and uninstall the more icons tweak and reboot normally. Then once rebooted in normal mode and other cydia stuff is working and running, re-install more icons from cydia and respring (NOT reboot, it's not required). Viola! You have the effects of more icons but not in a mini window. The mini screen thing seems to only happen after reboot but works fine after a respring. Cheers!

Yes. Why are so many comments about Cydia Apps crashing or not working as expected automatically met with an implication of piracy?
Sometimes even the Cydia devs get things wrong or their apps have issues.

I've contacted the Dev with my issue anywho.

Sorry, no disrespect intended but it has to be asked. Hardly an implication, simple question.

None of these have a custom amount of rows and columns. Iconoclams does but it's not yet compatible with iOS 6.1.

Springtomize ads a 5th ros but not a number higher.
      Bigify doesn't either.

      Cheers.

Then you have a conflicting app because it indeed works. It has a bug after reboot but you can reinstall and respring and it works fine.

I bought it and don't see this error at all.

YES. I view them at 75% and added a 6X6 config and it works fine.

NO, Springtomize 2 does NOT add more than 5 rows.

      Check your facts people.

The question was asked because you specifically asked about DRM. Valid question I feel.
I bought it and it activates fine. I also had to reinstall it (see my other posted workaround) and it still activates.

      Attention All Shoppers:
Do not buy this app, at least until some very serious bugs are fixed.

I purchased this app and even updated to the latest version and my iPhone 5 wouldn't boot. Of the few times it booted the screen became very jittery and was stuck in tiny top-left-corner mode.

As long as I have this app installed I can only boot into safemode. To those who say that this somehow acceptable, I think you must not understand the point of paying for something. I typically don't pay for things that make my life much more difficult.

I emailed the author of this app and he didn't believe my issue so I uninstalled all my other tweaks just to prove once and for all this was the true culprit. I ended up doing serious damage to my Cydia by uninstalling all my packages and had to restore and jailbreak again.

TL;DR: This app is a tremendous headache.

All you have to do is start in safe mode uninstall the app and reboot. THEN reinstall it and respring. I'm sure it will be updated but it only affects your iPhone after reboot which most people don't reboot too often, respring yes...frequently.

What can't you remove? The apps you listed can be uninstalled in Cydia very easily. you have to uninstall through Cydia in the packages section.Just click on each one and in the upper right corner where it says "modify" select it and choose uninstall and respring after each uninstall.

Yea tried many times but crashed every time, I ended up in safe mod but still couldn't remove. I even tried by disabling those tweaks by entering into the settings. Now Those tweaks are still sitting there taking space.

I tend to reboot my device after installing new tweaks to make sure they work properly, that's how I found the bug. My work around is just to respring with sbsettings and everything is back to normal. This is a great tweak.
