  • Steve Jobs' Biography On Route To Become Amazon's Top Selling Book of the Year

Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography of Steve Jobs officially went on sale today and is already on route to become the top selling book of the year for Amazon (the world’s largest online retailer). An Amazon spokeswoman Brittany Turner told Reuters earlier today that the book “Steve Jobs” is already on track to outsell every other book sold by the company. She even went as far as mentioning: "The way things are trending, it could very likely be our top selling book of the year.”

As of right now, the book is available through Amazon in a hardcover edition as well as a digital edition on the Amazon Kindle. The book also happens to be the number 1 seller on Apple’s iBooks for iOS devices. The book is now released a few weeks after Jobs death due to pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. Several excerpts of his books have already been revealed over this past weekend including his fight against cancer, his vow to “destroy Android,” his interest in reforming the school textbook market, and hints towards future products in the Apple lineup such as an HDTV.

Many people all over the world are currently reading the book to learn more about him and his views. Jobs’ has been an iconic face for technology over the last few decades and many value his opinion and admire his dedication to work. There are also many people scrambling to read between the lines to see if there is any information about the future of Apple or if there is any news of future products and features hinted in the text.

Have you bought a copy of Jobs’ biography yet? If so, what’re your thoughts on it so far? Let us know in the comments below!

Would this have been a top seller if he hadn't died?

From the 60 minutes story about the book he sounds like a real jerk. Parking in handicap spaces, no plate on his car, demeaning waitresses and employees....Doesn't sound like a very good person despite all the success he had in life.

Well I read the first nine chapters today and it's funny how we are reminded so much of how Steve didn't like to bathe and often went barefoot even to high power meetings that did not help out his cause.

It came from Steve Jobs himself! "People don't read anymore."
      Ironic isn't it!?

Not a biography, but a documentary just came out if that counts for anything. It's called iGenius and it was aired on the Discovery Channel. It has color and picture and sound.
